Grilled Tuna Recipes Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup pineapple or other tropical fruit preserves
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 (6 ounce) tuna steaks, about 1 inch thick

To prepare marinade, combine preserves, hoisin, lime juice, cilantro, ginger, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Stir well.
Pour into a resealable plastic bag or glass bowl; toss tuna with marinade to coat. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
Remove tuna steaks from marinade, shake off excess, and discard remaining marinade. Cook on preheated grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcook - the tuna should be lightly browned on the outside but still slightly pink in the middle. Serve immediately.

  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup crumbled dried thyme
  • 1 cup dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds fresh tuna roast

In a large bowl, stir together the white wine, balsamic vinegar, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper. Place the roast into the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Heat a grill for medium heat. Brush the grate with oil, once it is hot.
Place the tuna roast on the grill grate, and discard the marinade. Cook for about 30 minutes, turning frequently for even cooking. Serve immediately when the outer part flakes easily but the center is still slightly pink.

  • 20 ounces fresh tuna steaks, 1 inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons white wine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 6 cups packed torn salad greens
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes

Preheat grill for medium heat.
Place tuna in a glass dish. Prepare the vinaigrette by whisking together the wine, olive oil, red wine vinegar, rosemary, pepper, salt and garlic. Pour 2 tablespoons over fish and turn to coat. Marinate 15 to 30 minutes, turning once. Reserve remaining vinaigrette for salad dressing.
Coat grill rack with cooking spray and place on grill to heat 1 minute. Place tuna on grill 4 to 6 inches over hot coals. Cover with lid or tent with foil. Cook, turning once, just until tuna begins to flake easily when tested with a fork, about 7 minutes. Discard marinade.
Arrange salad greens on 4 plates. Place hot tuna on greens and add cherry tomatoes. Stir remaining vinaigrette and drizzle over salads....enjoy the tuna salad..!

  • 4 fresh tuna steaks
  • 1 bottle Italian dressing (I use Zesty Italian)
  • Salt & pepper

Marinate tuna steaks with whole bottle of Italian dressing for 3 to 4 hours. Place on hot grill and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill approximately 10 minutes each side until done. It will flake easily when fully cooked. Great in summer with green beans and salad! Serves 4.

Combine lime juice, garlic, and marjoram in an 8 x 8 inch glass baking dish and add the tuna. marinate covered for 3 hours. Grill over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes on each side, basting frequently with the marinade...enjoy the grilled tuna !

  • 1 tbsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tbsp. dried cilantro
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. mustard seeds
  • 4 to 6 tuna steaks

Mix ingredients and brush onto tuna steak. Refrigerate for several hours. Grill for 4 minutes per side or until steaks just begin to flake.

Grilled Tuna Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 2-8 oz yellow fin tuna steaks
Marinade:
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 clove crushed garlic (for each steak)
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • small amount of sea salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Grill Tuna Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
In a shallow 9 X 13 inch glass dish, prepare all of the marinade ingredients. Remember, if you have more than 2 8 oz tuna steaks, you might need to adjust the ingredients to marinate. Marinate both sides (dredge steaks and get marinade on both sides). Let sit in refrigerator for 30 minutes before grilling. *Soy sauce will overpower tuna if you marinate for too long!

Light the grill while tuna is marinating. Once coals are white (30 minutes) spread them and clean the grill, then wipe with oil so steaks don't stick.

Grill for 4 minutes or less per side for 1 inch steaks, depending on how you like them. Steaks should be firm with pink in the middle. If you prefer steaks to be more rare, grilling time should be 2 1/2 minutes on each side.

Recommended Side dishes: Serve with white and long grain wild rice (We used Vigo) and grilled yellow squash cut lengthwise, sprinkled with Sea Salt and pepper squash and drizzled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Use the same marinade as for the tuna. For grilled squash, brush with marinade frequently during grilling, and grill until just tender.
